Aechmea fasciata "Silver Vase"

Aechmea is a genus of Bromeliads, and Aechmea fasciata is probably the most well known and grown for use as a houseplant.  The "Silver Vase", or "Urn Plant" will produce a light pink inflorescence that puts out little purple star shaped flowers. 

The "vase" of cup of the Bromeliad should be kept full of water, refreshing it weekly to prevent the water from becoming stagnant. 

Aechmea bromeliads are also pet safe per the ASPCA!
