Peperomia Obtusifolia, commonly known as Baby Rubber Plant, is a compact tropical perennial native to Central and South America. This charming houseplant features thick, glossy, dark green leaves with a subtle waxy finish that adds visual interest to any indoor space. Its slow-growing nature and modest size make it ideal for desks, shelves, and compact living areas.

Native to the rainforests of Venezuela and Colombia, Peperomia Obtusifolia thrives in warm, humid environments. The plant's succulent-like foliage stores moisture, allowing it to tolerate occasional neglect while maintaining its ornamental appeal.  Position in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch leaves, though some morning light encourages compact growth. Watering: Allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. Overwatering is the primary threat—ensure pots have drainage holes and use well-draining potting mix.

Temperature & Humidity: Maintain temperatures between 65-75°F. While adaptable, the plant appreciates moderate humidity; mist occasionally or place on a pebble tray. Soil: Use a lightweight, well-draining mix formulated for tropical plants or succulents. Feeding: Apply diluted liquid fertilizer monthly during growing season (spring and summer). Propagation: Easily propagated from leaf or stem cuttings in water or moist soil, making it perfect for sharing with fellow plant enthusiasts.
