Pilea glauca 'Aquamarine'

Pilea glauca 'Aquamarine' is a stunning tropical houseplant prized for its delicate, silvery-blue foliage that shimmers with an aquatic quality. Native to the rainforests of Central and South America, this rare cultivar brings an exotic, sophisticated aesthetic to any indoor space.

This compact Pilea variety features fine, feathery leaves with a distinctive pale blue-gray hue that deepens in brighter light. The plant grows slowly and stays naturally modest in size, making it ideal for shelves, plant stands, or tabletop displays where its unique coloring can be appreciated up close.

Pilea glauca 'Aquamarine' thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers consistently moist but well-draining soil. It appreciates high humidity and benefits from occasional misting to replicate its native tropical environment. This variety is relatively low-maintenance once established, though it prefers stable conditions and temperatures between 65–75°F.

Perfect for collectors seeking rare foliage plants or anyone wanting to add a touch of botanical elegance with an unusual color palette, 'Aquamarine' pairs beautifully with other tropical houseplants and complements lab-inspired or modern minimalist interiors. Its silvery tone creates striking visual interest without requiring flowers, making it a year-round focal point.
