Here are some important care tips to keep your Croton plants thriving:

Light:

Crotons thrive in bright, indirect light. Place your plant near a window where it can receive plenty of sunlight.  Crotons are commonly used in outdoor planters, but need to be introduced to full sun scenarios gradually, to prevent sun burn and scorched leaves.

Temperature:

Crotons prefer warm temperatures between 60°F and 85°F (15°C to 29°C). Avoid exposing your plant to cold drafts or temperatures below 55°F (13°C).

Watering:

Proper watering is crucial for the health of your Croton plant. Water your plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Be careful not to overwater, as Crotons are susceptible to root rot. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

Humidity:

Crotons thrive in humid environments. Increase humidity around your plant by misting the leaves with water or placing a tray of water near the plant. You can also use a humidifier to maintain optimal humidity levels.

Fertilizer:

Feed your Croton plant with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every two to four weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Follow the instructions on the fertilizer packaging for proper dosage.

Pruning:

Regular pruning is important to maintain the shape and appearance of your Croton plant. Remove any dead or yellowing leaves to promote new growth. You can also prune to control the size of the plant.

Pests:

Keep an eye out for common pests such as aphids, mealybugs, and spider mites.
