Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa x N. ampullaria 'Black Miracle' is a striking hybrid carnivorous plant combining the compact, globe-shaped pitchers of N. mirabilis var. globosa with the robust characteristics of N. ampullaria. This cross produces distinctive dark-colored, heavily mottled pitchers with deep burgundy and black tones, creating a dramatic botanical specimen.

Native parent species originate from Southeast Asia, particularly Borneo and Sumatra, where they thrive in humid, tropical lowland environments. This hybrid inherits adaptability to intermediate to warm growing conditions and performs well in bright, indirect light.

Care Requirements

Provide bright, filtered light without direct afternoon sun. Maintain consistent humidity above 60%, ideally 70–80%, using a humidity tray or regular misting. Keep the growing medium moist but not waterlogged—use a well-draining mixture of sphagnum moss, perlite, and orchid bark. Water with distilled or rainwater, as these plants are sensitive to mineral buildup. Feed occasionally with diluted liquid fertilizer or small insects during the growing season.
