Nepenthes northiana is a carnivorous plant native to the limestone cliffs of Borneo, famed for its large, ornate pitchers. The medium-sized plants feature pitchers typically between 15 to 20 cm, reflecting their natural growth scale. For optimal care, provide bright but indirect light and maintain warm, humid conditions with temperatures ranging from 75 to 85°F (24–29°C). Use a well-draining, mineral-rich substrate to simulate its limestone habitat, and keep the soil consistently moist without waterlogging. Regular misting and good airflow are vital to prevent fungal growth and support healthy pitcher formation.
