Pinguicula 'Apasionada'

Pinguicula ‘Apasionada’ brings a distinctive touch to a carnivorous plant collection. Its soft, glistening leaves produce a natural sticky surface that helps capture small insects, while its compact rosette adds sculptural interest to a bright windowsill or plant display. In season, it may also send up delicate flowers above the foliage.

Pinguiculas are butterworts native to the Americas, with many popular species originating in Mexico. ‘Apasionada’ is grown as a named cultivated selection; specific parentage and a precise wild origin are not provided.

For best results, provide bright, indirect light and use mineral-free water, such as rainwater, distilled water, or reverse-osmosis water. Keep the growing medium lightly moist during active growth, and avoid letting water sit on the leaves. Exact care needs can vary with growing conditions.
